Many children in the country are left orphaned due to the adverse effects of HIV/AIDS, TB, and Malaria. Health care in Africa is also affected by the growing population that is more than the health resources available. Abortion rates in Kenya stand at 46% which is among the highest in the world.
Feed Africa Initiative is positioned on providing basic health services that will be instrumental in poverty eradication. The services offered by FAI include mobile healthcare that encourages family planning as a way of regulating overpopulation which is key in poverty reduction. Feed Africa Initiative in coordination with the Ministry of Health would maximize the efforts to deal with the health deficiencies.
